QUESTION AND ANSWER SEGMENT.
Is there a special order for addressing the trinity? Must it be the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit?
Jesus was the first to use the expression, when he told his disciples to baptise in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Why not follow the order. Why would you like to change it.
Is it okay to listen to the music of the world that has no bad language or meaning?
Music is a thing of fellowship. It’s not just about the lyrics. The origin is also vital. Music of the world is a music that is not inspired by the Word.
What is the inspiration behind the music? Most of the things we see in the world is a shadow of the Kingdom of God. It might be difficult to tell the difference between them but with the Word of God, we can tell which is which. No man of the Word can produce things of the Spirit. The more spiritually minded you are, the less of the world you will have. The music of the world will not increase your spirituality nor edify you.
How should women dress especially as described in 1 Timothy 2:9-10, 1 Peter 2:9
1 Timothy 2:9-10 KJV 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
The Word of God here is not telling us not to put on jewelries but it admonishes us to pay attention to our inner man. Modest dressing is actually the key here. The old testament doesn’t even prohibit wearing of jewelries but even if it does, that’s old testament but then it doesn’t.
Can I help my friend during exam by telling him answers?
It’s an exam, the aim is to find out if you understood and can retain what you were taught. By helping him, you are helping him beat the system and that’s wrong. You are helping the person to destroy himself.
I have not been able to go to church for 4 years now due to my work and I know it’s bad, what should I do?
There are options, join the online church, if that can’t work. Meet the far away church and arrange for church to be brought closer to you, you may not be the only one in this situation.
Is it right to call your man of God your spiritual Father?
1 Cor 4:15 KJV: For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
AMP: After all, though you should have ten thousand teachers (guides to direct you) in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the glad tidings (the Gospel).
Yes, we have spiritual fathers and Paul in the foregoing scripture calls himself father to his listeners.
God creates families and the church is family. It’s like those who say it’s not important to belong to a particular church. They say, you can worship anywhere but that’s not true. We ought to belong to a family where we are taught until we become mature and able to teach others.
WORD FOR THE MONTH.
THE Month OF JUNE IS THE MONTH OF PRAYER.
The month of June is dedicated to prayer. I send you posts usually on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday. But this month we will be praying everyday! Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday we will be praying by 12 noon and 10pm but Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, we will pray by 10pm. On Sundays, we will have times of prayer in church.
Ephesians 6:18 Amp Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).
There are different kinds of prayer. One of the reason people don’t receive answers to their prayer is because they use the rule of one prayer on the another.
Mark 11:22-23KJV 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith
That’s the prayer of faith above.
Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
That the prayer of agreement. What if we are flying, can we still pray this kind of prayer? Yes, this is because the earth used here is actually your body. Your body is made from the earth and provided you can still function in it, you can pray this way.
The third is the prayer of intercession. This is a very important kind of prayer.
Ezekiel 22:29-30NIV 29 The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice. 30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.
31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
This is terrible. This month, we will pray for our nations. We don’t want evil to prevail, we want good to prevail. So we will pray for the nations and see wonders take place. This month, don’t speak against the leaders of the nation. Pray for them.
We will also pray for the church this month. Colossian 1:9-11 KJV For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Eph 1:15 – 18 KJV 15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 AMP:[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,
18 KJV:The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Intercessory prayer is not a prayer you pray once and stop, you pray always. But when it comes to you, you don’t pray this for yourself, you apply it to yourself. You declare that it is done in your life. You say ‘the eyes of my understanding are enlightened…’ Glory to God. So get ready, this month, we are going to be praying. Hallelujah.
