So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22.
As God’s children, we serve the Lord from our spirits and according to His Word. Some people would say, “Everyone can serve God in his own way!” That’s wrong. We must serve Him as the Word shows us.
Remember the story of Cain and Abel? Abel’s offering was accepted because he did what the Lord wanted them to do. But Cain’s offering was rejected because he didn’t follow God’s instruction. SERVE GOD RIGHTLY
Don’t be like Cain. Pay attention to the Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. By these, you’ll always serve God the right way.
