2 Corinthians 3:15-17 CEV When the Law of Moses is read, they have their minds covered over with a covering that is removed only for those who turn to the Lord. The Lord and the Spirit are one and the same, and the lord’s Spirit sets us free.
LET’S TALK
Many times when God’sWord is preached, some I religious folks find it very difficult to accept or understand. Our opening verse shows us why this is it says that till this day, when “Moses,” which is “the Law,” is read, a covering on their minds is present, and it’s only taken away in Christ. In other words, when you received salvation, in accordance with Romans 10:9, the Lordship of Jesus destroyed the power of darkness over your life and took away that veil from your heart.
At the New Birth, you were catapulted into the Kingdom of Light; the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Colossians 1:12-13 (RSV) says, “Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.” This isn’t about to happen; it’s done and the covering is gone brever! There’s no more darkness for the light has come!
The Holy Spirit accomplished this in your life when He baptised you into Christ: “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body… (1 Corinthians 12:13); that Body is Christ. Christ is “Light,” so upon the New Birth, the Holy Spirit baptised you into the “Light,” and you became awakened to the Fatherhood of God. Thus was the veil removed from your heart to walk In the light of God, and understand spiritual realities. Hallelujah!
GO DEEPER
Ephesians 2:4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light! I break the power of satan over the lives of men and women around me so that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ might shine in their hearts, bringing them salvation, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
