Affirmation Train You Can Change Any Situations With Words
Thank you, Pastor, for giving me an opportunity to share my story of salvation. I gave my heart to Christ on Easter Sunday in 1984, in my first year in the secondary school.
I was born into a Christian home where everyone went to the Catholic church with my dad. Early in the year 1984, one of my elder sisters gave her heart to Christ.
She became so excited about this new life she now has and then began to talk to the rest of us about it. During the Easter period of that year, she began to tell those of us at home at the time that she would like for us to go with her to her new church.
We all promised her that we would go with her, especially me, because I noticed there was a change in her way of living since she told us she was born again. When Easter came, everyone else had to tell her they would like to go to our family Catholic church that Sunday but I decided to go with her.
When we got to her church that Sunday morning, I was very excited and inspired by the words of the Pastor and the way the brethren of the church worshipped God. When the Pastor was through with the message, he made an altar call without asking the congregation to close their eyes.
As I lifted up my hand signifying that I wanted to be saved, the whole church responded with a loud clapping ovation. This really inspired me because they all saw me stand up and walk to the altar to give my heart to Christ.
What a day that was and I am still so excited about it till today. Wow! I am so glad I’m born again.
